Coming from a family of artist, Lauren Scully knows the value of making art in a supportive and creative environment where the only limitation is your time and energy. Lauren believes that art's value is directly linked to the context in which it was made, as well as, the experience of making it. After her masters in production from Boston University, she decided to stay in the Boston area while many of her peers went to LA or New York.
Working multiple jobs as a freelancer, studio technician, assistant teacher, and media production technician, she saw the division between the spheres of working in the university, and being a freelancer/producer in the greater Boston area.
In her personal life, she began to connect these spheres and create a support network of friends and colleagues to discuss projects and new ideas, and pool resources, but thought how great it would be to have a place in which to make these connections could be made on a larger scale and much early in one's career. That's when Connor Murdock gave her the pitch for ScriptCo Boston, and she was excited to join the team.
Lauren has her BFA in Studio Art Photography from Texas Tech University in 2010, her MFA in Film Production from Boston University in 2014, and now is currently working in production at Harvard University as a Production Technologist for the largest course on campus.
